Matt & Heather Visit

We got to have Matt and Heather Linford come and spend a week with us in Sterling, Alaska. Willy and Matt fished everyday but the day we went clamming which was our first time and sooo much fun! This was the first time we have seen them in 3 years and it was easy going and just fun. The girls were shadows to Heather.

While they were here we got an offer on the house and accepted it and are supposed toc lose in 2 weeks!!! I don't know about this but from previous experience, we are not going to get too excited until we actually have signed papers. We are supposed to have an inspection this week so we will have to see what happens next.

Filled the freezer today

Well, it has been a cold one again (-33) and so not liking it. We are thinking of moving to Panama where it is warm. But so I am driving down the highway to town this morning and there are moose everywhere. I saw probably, seriously, 14 moose. Well, on the way back one had been hit, I didn't see the car that hit it but there was a truck cutting it up and so I asked them for a quarter and they threw it in the back. Yea!!! Roadkill is the best. Well, I really didn't do that but I would have if I had thought of it sooner. The eagles have also been out and about and that is pretty cool to watch. We are liking the new house and things are still coming along. We have somebody moving into our rental this weekend so that is one big stress gone and now we just have to focus on getting through the next 8 weeks and then I will graduate!!! YEA!!!

Maddie and Willy are on a date going to dinner and cold stone creamery (Maddie's all time favorite place). Andie is wondering where she could go on her date and she wants me to go with her so that somebody can drive.

I can't think of anything else right now so this is it!

So Will and I decided to trade in one of our trucks for a more fuel efficient car. Here is Will driving it off the lot. What a HUNK!

Life in Alaska

Well, here we are in Alaska getting ready to close on a house. Will is going to end up doing quite the remodel before we actually move in but it will meet our needs for now and there are 2 extra lots that we will probably do a spec house on later. The fish are not really biting because nothing is froze over yet and the weather has been warm enough to melt all the snow we did have so now the rivers are too high. What is Willy to do? Remodel! Maddie and Andie have an ice skating recital the end of December so they are practicing hard. Mom and Dad went ice skating with the girls last week to prove that mom was a better ice skater than dad and yes, she won the race around the track and only fell when she was trying to give Maddie a high five while still in motion.
